About The Metal Element
Physically
In the physical body, metal is represented by the lungs — delivering the essential exchange of gases in the blood by an automatic movement of expansion and compression. The lungs interact closely with the heart and allow speech possible through airflow. Metal element retreat will help measure your respiration through a novel respiratory sensing device.
Mentally
The mental attitude of metal is similar to the season of autumn and it is associated with the setting of the sun at dusk. It is tantamount to the exhaling and the releasing of the breath, the sadness that comes with relinquishing control, and the emerging beauty in transition. Metal can be out of balance if one feels depressed, judgemental, and continues to live in the past. The metal retreat will take you to a mindfulness practice in letting things be.
